Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the "Decision on Approving the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award Project", which was presided over by Zhejiang University and won 9 national teaching achievement awards for higher education (postgraduate), ranking second in the total number of universities in the country. Among them, the research group led and responsible for the "face the demand, continuous iterative, industry-university-research linkage of chemical talent training for 40 years of exploration and practice" results won the higher education (postgraduate) national teaching results second prize!

The National Teaching Achievement Award, which is selected every four years, is a review and display of the achievements of national education talent training and high-quality education and teaching reform, and represents the highest level of education and teaching work in China at present. This heavy honor is the crystallization of the team's 40 years of continuous exploration and cooperation, and represents the full recognition of all walks of life for the training mode of high-level engineering leaders that the research group has been exploring and practicing.

 

In June 1983, the Reaction Engineering Laboratory of Zhejiang University and the Reaction Engineering Laboratory of East China University of Science and Technology jointly established the Joint Chemical Reaction Engineering Research Institute (approved by the Ministry of Education, hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Institute"). At that time, the two schools were the earliest units to carry out chemical reaction engineering research in China, and after more than 20 years of research accumulation, they have already accumulated considerable technology and research conditions. They understand and trust each other, have close ties, and have a good joint foundation. The establishment of joint research institutes can be more effective in organizing forms and methods to give play to their advantages, coordinate work, and jointly undertake major scientific research tasks. In October of the same year, in view of the deepening of the national reform and the importance of chemical reaction engineering in the petrochemical industry, SINOPEC joined and expanded the joint Institute approved by the Ministry of Education into a three-way joint research institution to facilitate the combination of scientific research, education and production, and promote the faster development of the chemical reaction engineering discipline. Over the past 40 years, the Joint Institute and the research group have been deeply engaged in the field of petrochemical industry, immersed in research and continuous research. Taking the Joint Institute as a platform, long-term persistence and complementary advantages have established a problem-oriented, science and education integration, school-enterprise linkage and win-win and complementary education carrier, formed a sustainable development model and long-term education mechanism, and demonstrated and led a number of production, learning and research education platforms. It has made fruitful achievements in education, contributing to the continuous innovation and progress of China's chemical industry and chemical higher education.
