Yongrong Yang, born in 1962, professor, doctoral superviser, Qiu Shi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, director of Low Carbon Hydrocarbons Manufacturing Technology Engineering Laboratory of Zhejiang Province. He is a fixed researcher of State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering, the vice-chairman of Petrochemical Professional Committee of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, executive editor of "Chemical Reaction Engineering and Technology" journal. He graduated from Zhejiang University in 1984 and received his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 1989. He worked as a cooperative researcher and senior visiting scholar respectively in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the UMIST Process Integration Department of the University of Manchester in the UK, and University of Twente in the Netherlands. Specializing in chemical engineering, He is mainly engaged in the research of olefin polymerization reaction, multi-phase flow reaction engineering and process system engineering. He is responsible for undertaking many scientific research projects such as "863 Program" key project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In the past five years, more than 60 papers of his were indexed by SCI and he was authorized more than 50 invention patents. Six provincial-level science and technology rewards have been awarded successively. Among those, "Industrial application of gas-phase polyethylene condensation process" won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awards; "New technology of polyolefin fluidized bed reactor based on acoustic emission monitoring" won the second prize of Technology Invention Award, won the first prize of Zhejiang Province Education Achievement Award. He is now an executive editor of journal of the Chemical Reaction Engineering and Technology.
