On the morning of June 20, 2023, Chen Huafeng, General Manager of Zhejiang Chuanhua Synthetic Materials Company, Ge Qinqin, Dean of Chuanhua Chemical Innovation Research Institute, and Liu Chengwu, Executive Dean of Zhejiang University Science and Technology Innovation Chuanhua Innovation Research Institute, conducted on-site research and inspection on the olefin polymer advanced manufacturing innovation demonstration platform (hereinafter referred to as the olefin platform) of Zhejiang University Ningbo Science and Technology Innovation Center. Professor Li Wei and Associate Professor Ren Congjing from Zhejiang University Ningbo Science and Technology Innovation Center accompanied the visit.
Professor Li Wei introduced the construction of olefin platforms, as well as the progress in the construction of high-pressure free radical polymerization laboratories, polymer processing laboratories, catalyst preparation laboratories, and focused on the research and application of high-pressure polyethylene and rubber fields. The visiting experts gained a deep understanding of the system and mechanism, platform construction, talent team, scientific research achievements, and other aspects of the olefin platform.
Chen Huafeng fully affirmed the effectiveness of the construction and development of the olefin platform and looked forward to further cooperation between the two sides to explore major technical challenges in the field of high-pressure polyethylene and rubber. Subsequently, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and expressed their willingness to jointly leverage their strengths, reach a specific plan for cooperation as soon as possible, and promote joint construction to carry out scientific and technological breakthroughs.
